PALMDALE, CA – One Killed in Rollover Accident on Highway 14 at Avenue O

Fatality Reported after Pickup Truck Overturns on Highway 4 in Palmdale

 
PALMDALE, CA (April 1, 2019) – At least one person was killed following a rollover crash early Monday morning on Highway 14 in Palmdale.
 
The fatal crash happened around 2:48 a.m. on northbound Highway 14 at Avenue O. According to CHP, a gray Dodge Ram pickup truck was traveling northbound when it crashed into the center. It then overturned on the first lane and landed on its side.
 
Los Angeles County Fire Department officers responded to the scene. Soon after, they confirmed at least one fatality occurred as a result of the accident. In addition, the identity of the victim was not immediately available pending next of kin notification.
 
The roadway was shut down until around 3:18 a.m. while officers documented the incident.
 
It is unknown if speed, drugs and/or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
