62-Year-Old Woman Killed and Three Injured in Head-On Car Crash on West Elizabeth Lake Road at Louise Lane
PALMDALE, CA (March 4, 2018) – A woman was killed and three people were injured in a head-on car crash on West Elizabeth Lake Road involving a car and an SUV on Sunday.
According to Lt. Anthony Gunn of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Palmdale Station, the incident occurred at around 5:50 PM at 2200 West Elizabeth Lake Road at Louise Lane.
The 62-year-old woman was driving her white Acura crossover car headed west at high speeds when she lost control of the car and crossed over the center divider. That was when she struck another vehicle headed east. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 18-year-old man driving the dark-colored 2004 Chevrolet Suburban and his mother were seriously injured and rushed to the Antelope Valley Hospital for medical treatment. The father of the driver was transported to Palmdale Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries. The Los Angeles County firefighters had to use the jaws of life to pull some of the victims out of the wreckage.
