50-Year-Old Man on Electric Bicycle Dies in Val Vista Street Accident
Pomona, CA (August 22, 2022) On Sunday afternoon, a fatal crash on Paige Driver claimed the life of a 50-year-old man on an electric mountain bike.
Reports say that a pickup truck fatally struck the bicyclist at Val Vista Street around 5:15 p.m.
Pomona police say that paramedics transported the bicyclist to a local hospital, where the man succumbed to his injuries and died. Authorities have not released the bicyclist’s name pending notification of his relatives.
Authorities closed the intersection as they investigate the incident.
At the moment, police have not released additional information about the collision, however, police say that impairment did not play a factor in the crash.
