Officers Search for Suspect in Venice Fatal Crash

Los Angeles, CA (March 5, 2023) – On Saturday, a bicyclist sustained fatal injuries following a Pacific Avenue hit-and-run crash.

The fatal traffic incident unfolded at about 12:40 a.m. south of Channel Street in Venice.

According to the investigating officers, the victim was riding northbound on Pacific Avenue when they were struck by a small light-colored vehicle that was also northbound on the same road.

Unfortunately, the bicyclist succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

“The collision caused the victim to be ejected from his bicycle and collide with the roadway,” officers said. “The vehicle that collided with (the) cyclist fled the scene, did not stop to render aid to the victim, and/or ID themselves.”
