Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Pacheco
PACHECO, CA (February 6, 2019) – A man was killed after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning in the Pacheco area of unincorporated Contra Costa County, according to sheriff’s deputies.
The fatal incident happened around 7:52 a.m. in the vicinity of Aspen Drive and Brown Drive.
Preliminary reports revealed that the man walked into the roadway, directly into the path of a gray Nissan Cube that was traveling southbound.
Responding emergency crews found the victim unresponsive and tried to save him. Unfortunately, he did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The female driver of the Nissan stayed at the scene and did not appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, authorities said.
The victim’s name has not yet been released pending notification of his family members.
