Driver Hospitalized in SR8 Collision
Elma, WA (February 20, 2022) – On Sunday, 39-year-old Pablo Lopez Chavez of Aberdeen died in a solo-vehicle crash on State Route 8.
The fatal crash happened at 1:40 a.m. at the US 12 interchange.
Investigators say a westbound 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by a 15-year-old boy veered left and collided into a bridge.
Unfortunately, Chavez lost his life at the crash scene.
The paramedics rushed the teen driver to an area hospital.
Luckily, the six other occupants, including three children and two teens did not sustain injuries from the collision.
Officers are investigating this fatal collision.
