3 Injured in Edinburg Vehicle Crash on University Drive and Jackson Road

EDINBURG, TX (September 4, 2023) – Sunday morning, authorities arrested Pablo de Leon after a startling auto accident on University Drive and Jackson Road.

The incident began at about 4:00 a.m. in the area of Jackson Road and Freddy Gonzalez Drive. Reports said that the suspect, a driver of a black GMC Sierra was seen driving recklessly.

Then, officers tried to pull him over but the driver went north and failed to yield at a red light at the intersection of University Drive and Jackson Road.

Eventually, the reckless driver struck a white Nissan Rogue with three female occupants. All the women suffered serious injuries and were taken to DHR Health for treatment.

Meanwhile, the authorities arrested the suspect for showing signs of intoxication.

Officers applied for a blood search warrant and a blood specimen was taken from de Leon.
