Oxnard Motorcyclist Dies in Highway 33 Collision [Ojai, CA]

Ojai, CA (March 18, 2024) – A 66-year-old Oxnard motorcyclist was killed following a Highway 33 collision Sunday afternoon.

The traffic accident happened at 12:18 p.m. near Potrero John Trail.

Investigators said a 2020 Yamaha motorcycle and a 2017 Dodge Caravan collided on the southbound freeway when the minivan crossed into the southbound lane and hit the motorcycle.

Sadly, the motorcyclist incurred fatal injuries from the collision. Officers withheld his identity pending notification of kin.

Moreover, the minivan went off the road and down a steep hill. The driver and two passengers incurred minor injuries.

A helicopter responded to this traffic crash.
