Teenagers Thrown from Trunk in Two-Vehicle Collision on Harbor Boulevard

OXNARD, CA (April 21, 2018) – Two teenage girls were seriously injured after they were thrown from the trunk in a car crash on Costa de Oro, early Saturday night.

The two girls were in the trunk of a silver Dodge Charger driven by a 17-year-old boy. Around 5:45 PM, the Charger was heading westbound on Costa De Oro when it was broadsided by a Nissan Sentra that was traveling southbound on Harbor Boulevard. The Charger spun out, throwing the girls from the trunk.

A female passenger and the two teen girl were transported to local hospitals with severe injuries. The three victims were described to be between the ages of 16 and 17, and residents of Oxnard and Ventura. The Charger’s driver and the fourth passenger suffered minor injuries, while the Sentra’s driver was not injured. There is no update on the current conditions of the people involved.

The investigation is still ongoing and anyone who has witnessed or has more information about the crash is urged to contact the traffic investigator at (805) 385-7749.
