LONG BEACH, CA (August 19, 2019) – Officials arrested Osvaldo Ramirez-Vazquez after a DUI crash that killed a woman on Sunday, August 18.
The 21-year-old woman who died was on the passenger seat of a speeding vehicle driven by Ramirez-Vazquez.
The incident occurred just before 2:40 a.m. when Ramirez-Vazquez lost control of his speeding 1999 Lincoln town car. This caused the vehicle to spin to the left of Pacific Coast Highway near Grand Avenue.

Officers found the young Bellflower woman trapped inside the car. Long Beach Fire Department firefighters extricated her from the vehicle and then took her to a local hospital where she died. Her identity was not immediately released.
Firefighters also extricated the Cadillac’s driver from the vehicle. They brought the driver to the hospital with minor injuries.
The Lincoln’s driver, Osvaldo Ramirez-Vazquez, suffered minor injuries.
Authorities found Ramirez-Vazquez to be intoxicated. They booked him into a Long Beach jail on charges including DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
