Tracy Popham Airlifted in SR 28 Big Rig Collision
Quincy, WA (February 15, 2022) – On Monday, 46-year-old Osvalde Hernandez Diaz and 56-year-old Tracy Popham of Clarkson, sustained injuries in a semi-truck crash on State Route 28.
Investigators said Diaz was driving an eastbound big rig on the freeway. At the same time, Popham was driving her pickup behind Diaz.
Osvalde was turning left onto Road S Northwest. Suddenly, the driver’s side of his big rig was careened into by Popham’s pickup truck.
Right away, the paramedics rushed Osvalde to Quincy Valley Medical Center for treatment. Similarly, they airlifted Popham to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.
Moreover, officers said Popham was following too close. Drugs and alcohol did not play a role in this collision.
Furthermore, it is best to avoid assumptions. Do not think that just because you follow the traffic rules and drive safely, others will do the same. Watch for erratic behavior or poor driving habits by drivers around you and always be ready to avoid an incident.
