Flagger Dies in Schertz Pedestrian Collision
Schertz, TX (February 8, 2024) – 63-year-old Oscar Silvas, a flagger of a business in Schertz, was killed following a Schertz Parkway accident Thursday morning.
It was before 6 a.m. when Silvas was struck by a northbound car while attempting to stop traffic in the 5800 block area.
The involved driver remained at the scene and told the officers they did not see Silvas until the collision happened.
In the meantime, officers are still investigating this fatal accident and will soon determine whether any criminal charges will be filed.
