Oscar Martell Detained after Canyon Country DUI Crash
CANYON COUNTRY, CA (July 30, 2019) – Police arrested a man following a DUI crash involving two vehicles Tuesday afternoon in Canyon Country.
The crash happened around 3:31 p.m. at the intersection of Jakes Way and Sandy Drive. A minor became involved. In addition, paramedics transported one patient to a hospital as a result of the crash.
It is unclear if the child, whose age and gender were not immediately available, was the person transported to the hospital for treatment.
Police arrested one of the drivers, 32-year-old Oscar Martell of Canyon Country, on suspicion of acting cruelly to a child and in a manner likely to produce great bodily injuries or death.
Martell’s preliminary bail amount was set at $35,300, according to the arrest log. Police released Martell at 8:31 a.m. Wednesday, per Sheriff’s Department records.
Investigation of the incident is underway.
