Oscar Bejarano Jr of North Hills Killed Collision on Orange Grove Avenue [Pasadena, CA]

Pasadena, CA (August 23, 2023) – At about 2 a.m. on Saturday, Oscar Bejarano Jr., 21, of North Hills, was killed in a collision on Orange Grove Avenue.

According to the authorities, a silver 2020 Infiniti driven by David Silva, 21, of Sun Valley was speeding southbound on Orange Grove Avenue. The vehicle was approaching Oliver Street when it slammed into a residential garage in the 300-block area.

“The impact was significant enough to push a vehicle parked in the garage through the back wall,” said Sgt. Craig Phillips of the South Pasadena Police Department

Luckily, nobody in the home was injured, however, Oscar Bejarano Jr, the backseat passenger was declared deceased at the scene. 

Both Silva and the front-seat passenger were transported to a hospital with moderate to severe injuries. 

The accident report said the car struck several trees, signposts, and bushes before it crashed into the garage.
