OROVILLE, CA (March 16, 2019) – A man was hurt following a rear-end crash Saturday evening on Highway 70 at Georgia Pacific Way.
The crash happened around 7:14 p.m. involving a silver sedan and a utility truck.
Details surrounding the collision were not made clear in the reports and media releases, but a male occupant in one of the vehicles was reportedly hurt in the crash.
The man was found sitting inside the vehicle, unable to move, and complained of pain to the neck and back. An ambulance unit took him to a local hospital for proper treatment.
Both vehicles were blocking the intersection and were towed away for evidence.
An ongoing investigation continues to determine the ultimate cause of the accident and liability.
Rear-end collisions are often caused by drivers who are involved in another activity while driving or who simply are not watching the road ahead. To avoid hitting the car ahead of you, stay focused on the road. Give yourself extra room ahead so that you won’t need to brake suddenly.
