Early Morning Multi-Vehicle Wreck in Orinda Sends One to Hospital
ORINDA, CA (January 17, 2019) – One person was hospitalized following a multi-vehicle collision early Thursday morning in Orinda.
The collision happened around 12:03 a.m. on westbound Highway 24 at Camino Pablo on-ramp.
According to the California Highway Patrol, at least 5 to 6 vehicles were involved for unknown reasons. Airbags were deployed and injuries were sustained in the crash.
An ambulance unit was dispatched to the scene and took one occupant to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. The extent of injuries sustained and the condition of the patient were not immediately available.
There were no descriptions of any vehicular damages but towing services were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash and to identify possible contributing factors. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
