Orianna Nicole Diosdado Dead after Crash on 19th Avenue in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (February 15, 2024) – On Thursday afternoon, 21-year-old Orianna Nicole Diosdado died in a crash on 19th Avenue.

The incident occurred at the intersection of 19th Avenue and Union Hills Drive around 3:30 p.m. Police report that the truck driver, heading north and turning right onto Union Hills, collided with 21-year-old Orianna Nicole Diosdado as she walked in the crosswalk. 

Diosdado died at the scene. The driver stopped immediately just east of the intersection and remained there. According to investigators, impairment was not a factor.

The city of Phoenix owns the garbage truck involved in the incident.

Authorities have since reopened the intersection after temporarily shutting it down. It remains unclear if any charges will be filed as the investigation continues.
