Afternoon 4-Vehicle Wreck on 22 Freeway in Orange Sends One to Hospital
ORANGE, CA (January 19, 2019) – One person was hospitalized following a multi-vehicle collision Saturday afternoon on eastbound 22 Freeway at The City Drive.
The collision happened around 12:41 p.m. involving at least four vehicles. The vehicles were initially described as a gray Toyota Echo, a silver Honda Civic, a gray Jeep and a green sedan.
Details surrounding the collision were not made clear in the reports, but one patient was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
The impact also caused major front-end damage on the Toyota Echo.
A SigAlert was issued in the area, blocking the eastbound lanes of 22 Freeway for about 30 minutes while evidence from the scene was collected and photographed.
The full circumstances of the collision remain under investigation.
