Vehicle Overturns in Suspected DUI Crash on 710 Freeway
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 10, 2019) – One person was trapped in a rollover crash on westbound 10 Freeway, Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 5:04 AM, just east of 710 Freeway. Based on their report, a black sedan driven by a suspected DUI crashed into the attenuators before it overturned and caught fire. The attenuators then hit a white Toyota car.
One person was seen trapped in the overturned car. The paramedics were called for needed medical attention. They had not yet released a report regarding any injury sustained by the victim.
A SigAlert was issued closing the HOV, No. 1, 2 3 and 4 lanes while cleaning and clearing operations were conducted in the area.
An investigation is ongoing to verify all initial information and determine liabilities. It is still under investigation whether or not drugs and alcohol were contributing factors in the incident. No additional information has been released to the public at this time, as officials continue to investigate.
