Two Semi-Trucks Involved in Collision near Cherry Avenue
LONG BEACH, CA (March 11, 2019) – One person was trapped in a multi-car crash on eastbound 91 Freeway, Monday morning.
According to CHP, the accident took place at approximately 7:30 AM, just east of Cherry Avenue. Based on an initial report, a semi-truck swerved from the HOV to the slow lane. Soon after, the semi-truck struck several vehicles, including another truck.
One person was rescued from one of the cars. The paramedics were requested for needed medical attention. They had not yet released a report regarding any injury sustained by the victim.
No. 3 and 4 lanes were temporarily closed while a clearing operation was conducted. In addition, a cleaning operation took place in the area.
Additional information will be released once it becomes available. As a result, the cause of the accident still remains under investigation at this time.
