1 Person Injured 1 Dog Dies in 2-Car Crash on Huntington Drive
Duarte, CA (May 18, 2022) On Tuesday, at least one person was injured in a wrong-way crash on the 27000 block of Huntington Drive.
Authorities say that a red Prius going the wrong way collided with an Audi SUV at around 9:21 p.m.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LACSD), at least one person sustained injuries, although it is not clear if they are the driver or passenger.
Moreover, the patient sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, reports say that the crash also killed a dog.
Authorities say that the crash caused the Prius to collide with a building next to the Duarte Azusa Animal Hospital.
Officials say that the dead dog was not from the hospital and believed that it may belong to one of the involved vehicles.
Furthermore, both vehicles suffered major damage.
Officers are investigating the incident and have not released additional information at this time.
When behind the wheel of a vehicle, it is your responsibility to ensure the safety of yourself and others around you. Moreover, it is important to always drive within the posted speed limit. Also, slow down if you see traffic stalling ahead to avoid hitting other vehicles.
