1 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision in San Bruno
SAN BRUNO, CA (March 19, 2019) – On Tuesday evening, one person was injured in a car accident on 101 Freeway. The identity of the victim has not yet been released to the public.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 5:00 PM near the San Bruno Avenue exit.
As per reports, several vehicles collided on the freeway, just south of 380 Freeway, not far from the San Francisco International Airport. The cause of the accident is currently unknown.
First responders arrived at the scene shortly after. They stated one victim suffered minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. However, their current medical condition is unknown at this time.
The crash caused the closure of four lanes as emergency crews worked to clear the scene. Motorists were asked to seek alternate routes. The SigAlert was canceled at around 5:30 p.m. when the CHP was able to clear all lanes.
No further details have been released regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident at this time.
