One Person Dead after Tragic Crash on 7th Avenue [Phoenix, AZ]

SUV Driver Dead in Crash on 7th Avenue and Glenrosa in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (March 31, 2023) – Thursday night, one person died in a crash on 7th Avenue and Glenrosa.

Subsequently, police arrested two people on suspicion of DUI.

The fatal crash in Phoenix happened before midnight on March 30 just north of Indian School Road.

Phoenix Police said the collision involved an SUV and a pickup truck. 

EMS rushed the SUV driver to a hospital where they later died.

Police say the driver and passenger of the pickup truck ran from the scene before officers arrived, but were quickly located and taken into custody.

Investigators said the driver displayed signs of impairment.

No additional information is immediately available.

Further investigation into this crash is ongoing.
