Fatal Semi-Trailer Crash Reported on 10 Freeway
ONTARIO, CA (July 31, 2019) – One person died in a semi-trailer crash on westbound 10 Freeway, early Wednesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place just east of Archibald Avenue at approximately 3:32 AM. Based on an initial report, police classified the fatal incident as a solo-vehicle case. The semi-truck pulling a trailer hit several power lines before it came to rest at the right side of the road.
Police do not know what caused the collision.
A coroner declared one person dead at the scene. The authorities had not yet released any details regarding the victim’s identity.
Power lines were seen down in the roadway. A clearing operation took place in the area.
No other information was released. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
