One Sustained Fatal Injuries after Victorville Accident on Midtown Drive

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (July 4, 2019) — One person died after a pedestrian crash on Midtown Drive in Victorville on Wednesday, July 3.
 
The accident happened at around 11:00 pm, in the 15500 block of Midtown Drive, near Civic Drive.
 
According to the reports, a female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle. Officers rushed to the scene and treated the adult female victim that was down in the roadway. Due to her injuries, officials requested a medical helicopter at Victor Valley Global Medical Center.
 
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Jodi Miller stated that they transported her to a local area hospital where she later died.
 
The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. A 1998 Honda Civic with a broken passenger side windshield stayed in the roadway as deputies photographed the car.
 
Miller said that the cause of the crash is under investigation and there were no arrests made.
 
The surrounding area was closed off for a brief time while crews worked to clear the wreckage. Officials urge anyone with information about the incident to contact the Victorville Police Department at 760-241-2911.
