Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle near Highway 160
SACRAMENTO, CA (September 10, 2018) – One person was killed early Monday morning following a pedestrian crash on Arden Way. The identity of the victim was not immediately released to the public, pending notification of family members.
According to the Sacramento Police Department, a vehicle-pedestrian collision was reported at about 12:39 AM in the 700 block of Arden Way, near Highway 160.
The victim sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained and cooperated with investigators. No other injuries were reported by the authorities.
Alcohol and drugs were ruled out as possible contributing factors in the fatal crash. However, investigators continue to work on determining the events that led to the collision. Additional information will be released following the conclusion of the investigation.
