One Pedestrian Dead after West Sacramento Accident on Jefferson Boulevard
WEST SACRAMENTO (July 8, 2019) – A pedestrian died after a vehicle struck her along Jefferson Boulevard at Stone Boulevard in West Sacramento.
At around 8:25 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, a female was hit and sustained major injuries, according to West Sacramento police. First responders transported her to an area hospital where she died.
Drugs and alcohol do not appear as factors in the incident.
A second pedestrian was also struck by a vehicle on the same night. This time, a big rig was the one who struck the pedestrian on the 1700 block of West Capitol Avenue.
Paramedics rushed the person to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver in this incident was also not suspected of being under the influence.
Police have not yet identified the pedestrian who died.
