Pickup Truck Rear-Ends Big Rig on 57 Freeway in Bea Killing One
BREA, CA (October 4, 2019) – One person was killed following a two-vehicle crash early Friday morning in Brea.
The crash happened around 4:25 a.m. on northbound 57 Freeway south of Tonner Canyon Road exit.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Chevrolet Silverado crashed into the back of a big rig on the right shoulder of the freeway.
Officers arrived and pronounced the driver of the pickup truck dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released pending family notification.
The driver of the semi was unharmed.
Officers closed the fourth lane of the freeway while they worked on the scene.
The full circumstances of the collision remain under investigation.
