One Passenger Dies in Morning 2-Vehicle Crash at South and McCall Avenues
FOWLER, CA (October 2, 2019) – One person died following a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Fowler, CHP officials said.
The crash happened around 6:35 a.m. at the intersection of South Avenue and McCall Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a white pickup truck was traveling southbound on McCall Avenue. At the same time, a gray Nissan was traveling westbound on South Avenue.
The Nissan stopped at the stop sign and then pulled out in front of the truck, which did not have a stop sign.
As a result, the passenger in the Nissan was killed and the driver was taken to the hospital. The pickup truck driver was not seriously hurt.
Authorities did not release the identities of those involved. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
