Morning 2-Car Crash on Pepper Drive in El Cajon Kills 1
EL CAJON, CA (September 13, 2019) – One person was killed following a two-car crash Friday morning just north of El Cajon.
The crash happened around 7:20 a.m. near the intersection of Pepper and Peerless drives.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2003 Volkswagen Passat and a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu collided for unknown reasons. One of the occupants became trapped in a vehicle, but it was not immediately clear which vehicle that occupant was in.
Paramedics took the victim to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where the individual was later pronounced dead, the CHP said. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
Authorities are still investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash.
