Morning Crash Between Two Trucks on Stockdale Highway Kills 1 and Injures 2
BAKERSFIELD, CA (August 21, 2019) – One person was killed in a crash involving two trucks Wednesday morning on Stockdale Highway.
The crash happened around 8:09 a.m. just near Superior Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a utility truck was heading westbound on Stockdale Highway when it swerved into oncoming traffic. It then crashed head-on into a big rig.
As a result, the unidentified driver of the utility truck was killed in the crash, according to the CHP.
Meanwhile, a passenger in the utility truck was taken to a hospital with major injuries.
The driver of the big rig sustained minor injuries.
Kern Environmental Health was called to the scene after a small amount of hydraulic fluid was spilled.
The crash is still under investigation.
