Fatal Rollover Crash on Highway 44 in Palo Cedro

 
PALO CEDRO, CA (September 22, 2019) – At least one person was killed following a rollover crash Sunday afternoon in Palo Cedro.
 
The crash happened around 4:45 p.m. on Highway 44, about a half mile west of Deschutes Road.
 
According to an initial report, a maroon SUV went about 60 to 75 off the roadway on the eastbound side. Officers arrived and located the vehicle with major rollover damage.
 
Paramedics provided life-saving aid but at least one occupant died at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
Towing services removed the damaged SUV from the crash site.
 
No additional information was provided at this time. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
