Fatal Rollover Crash on Espinosa Road in Salinas

 
SALINAS, CA (November 24, 2019) – One person died following a rollover crash Sunday afternoon on a rural road in Salinas, the California Highway Patrol reported.
 
The fatal crash happened around 4:47 p.m. on Espinosa Road near Lakeside Nursery.
 
CHP officials said a vehicle was heading westbound near a curve in the roadway when it overturned into a field, where it landed on its roof.
 
As a result, the driver of the car suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately available pending next of kin notification.
 
There were no other injuries reported.
 
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
