Car Rear-Ends Semi Truck on Highway 65 in Lincoln, Fatality Reported
LINCOLN, CA (January 3, 2020) – At least one person was killed following a rear-end crash Friday afternoon in Placer County.
The crash happened around 1:15 p.m. on southbound Highway 65 at Nelson Lane.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a silver sedan slammed into the back of a semi truck with a trailer hauling dirt.
The impact caused at least one fatality. The identity of the victim was not immediately available pending next of kin notification.
Traffic was being diverted at Nelson Lane for a time, but the road has since reopened.
