Pickup Truck Crashes into Tree on Oak Grove Avenue in Graton, Fatality Reported
GRATON, CA (July 9, 2019) – At least one person was killed following a traffic collision involving a pickup truck Tuesday morning in the Graton area of west Sonoma County.
The collision happened just after 7:00 a.m., on Oak Grove Avenue near Highway 116.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Toyota pickup truck crashed into a tree on the right shoulder for unknown reasons.
A coroner was dispatched to the scene and confirmed at least one fatality as a result of the accident. However, the identity of the victim was not immediately available.
The surrounding area was closed off for a brief time while crews worked to clear the wreckage. However, the roadway has since reopened.
There were no official reports stating what caused the crash or how it exactly transpired. Authorities are looking further into the accident.
