5 Vehicles Involved in Deadly Afternoon Crash on 5 Freeway in Woodland

 
WOODLAND, CA (February 14, 2020) – At least one person died following a multi-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Woodland.
 
The crash happened around 4:32 p.m. on southbound 5 Freeway at County Road 102.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Chevrolet van, a Volkswagen Jetta, a pickup truck with a trailer, a box truck and another vehicle were involved. One of them was speeding prior to the crash.
 
Officers responded to the scene and found at least one fatality as a result of the crash. The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
A coroner was notified to conduct a full report.
