Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash on South 3rd Street in Richmond
RICHMOND, CA (October 14, 2019) – One person was killed in a hit-and-run crash early Monday morning in Richmond.
The crash happened around 2:40 a.m. near the intersection of South 3rd Street and Cutting Boulevard, just east of of 580 Freeway.
Richmond police responded to the scene and confirmed one fatality as a result of the crash. The identity of the victim has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
Crews blocked the off-ramp of eastbound Cutting Boulevard while they cleared the crash site.
CHP officials are still investigating the incident and more information will be provided when accessible.
