One Killed in Head-On Crash on Highway 41 at Road 416 [COARSEGOLD, CA]

Motorhome Involved in Fatal Head-On Crash on Highway 41 in Coarsegold

 
COARSEGOLD, CA (November 28, 2019) – One person was killed following a head-on crash Thursday afternoon in Coarsegold.
 
The fatal crash around 1:30 p.m. on Highway 41 at Road 416.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a motorhome and a white Chrysler sedan collided at the intersection. Firefighters had to extricate the driver of the sedan who was trapped inside the car.
 
Despite life-saving measures, that driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
The occupants of the motorhome only suffered minor injuries.
 
At this time, it unknown if drugs and/or alcohol were factors in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
