Early Morning Fiery Collision on 15 Freeway in Baker Ends in Fatality
BAKER, CA (May 26, 2019) – At least one person was killed following a fiery crash early Sunday morning in Baker.
The crash happened just after 4:00 a.m. on northbound 15 Freeway, about a mile South of Baker Boulevard off-ramp.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle was traveling northbound when it veered off the roadway, overturned on the right shoulder and burst into flames.
Officers arrived at the scene and located a female occupant outside of the vehicle, unknown if she was ejected during the crash. Two other occupants were still inside the vehicle.
A coroner’s personnel confirmed the fatality of the crash. The identity of the deceased has been withheld pending family notification.
