One Killed in Crash on Highway 36 at Alderpoint Road [BRIDGEVILLE, CA]

Fatal Crash on Highway 36 in Bridgeville

 
BRIDGEVILLE, CA (September 8, 2019) – One person was killed following a traffic collision just before noon in Bridgeville, according to the California Highway Patrol.
 
The collision happened around 11:56 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 36 and Alderpoint Road.
 
CHP officials said a vehicle went down an embankment for unknown reasons. A technical rescue team has been requested to the scene.
 
Bridgeville firefighters confirmed one fatality as a result of the crash and a coroner was notified to pick up the victim’s remains.
 
Authorities will release the identity of the victim once family members are notified.
 
Details surrounding the collision were not made clear in the reports and media releases. The CHP is handing the investigation.
