Fatal Crash on 780 Freeway in Benicia

 
BENICIA, CA (August 12, 2019) – At least one person was killed following a car accident Monday evening in Benicia.
 
The crash happened around 8:44 p.m. on eastbound 780 Freeway at East 2nd Street on-ramp.
 
Benicia fire and police officials responded to the scene after receiving reports of a vehicle that went off the roadway. Emergency crews also arrived to provide medical aid.
 
Despite life-saving efforts, at least one fatality was reported as a result of the accident. A coroner’s personnel was immediately notified to conduct a full report.
 
Details surrounding the collision were not made clear in the reports and media releases. The incident is still under investigation.
