Driver Dies after Crashing on 60 Freeway Sign Pole in Diamond Bar
DIAMOND BAR, CA (January 13, 2020) – A driver died in a car accident Monday morning in Diamond Bar.
The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. on eastbound 60 Freeway at Lemon Avenue.
According to the CHP, a 2015 Hyundai Sonata veered off the roadway and collided with a large metal overhead freeway sign pole. The car then ended up on a guardrail.
As a result, the driver was trapped inside the car and died at the scene. Authorities only identified him as a 21-year-old Phillips Ranch man.
CHP officials did not rule out alcohol and drugs as factors in the crash.
