Morning Crash on South Hills Valley Road in Orange Cove Ends in Fatality
ORANGE COVE, CA (June 8, 2019) – At least one person was killed following a traffic accident Saturday morning in Orange Cove.
The crash happened around 5:19 a.m. at the intersection of South Hills Valley Road and Avenue 444.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle went off the roadway and into a ditch. One passenger was reportedly stuck inside the vehicle.
Fire crews responded to the scene and worked on the extrication. Paramedics also arrived and provided life-saving measures.
Sadly, at least one fatality was found as a result of the crash. The name, age and town of residence of the victim were not immediately available pending next of kin notification.
It is unknown if speed or intoxication was a factor in the crash. Authorities are looking further into the incident.
