Late Evening Crash on North Capitol Avenue in San Jose Ends in Fatality
SAN JOSE, CA (September 13, 2019) – One person was killed following a traffic collision late Friday evening in San Jose, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. on North Capitol Avenue on-ramp to the northbound 680 Freeway.
CHP officials responded to the scene and located a white Lexus and a Honda Civic. One person was trapped inside one of the vehicles.
Paramedics transported one patient to a hospital, where the individual died at 3:30 a.m. Saturday. The identity of the deceased was not available at this time.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash and factors involved.
