One Killed in Crash at 405 Freeway and 605 Freeway [LONG BEACH, CA]

Late Evening Crash on 405 Freeway in Long Beach Turns Deadly

 
LONG BEACH, CA (July 26, 2019) – At least one person was killed following a traffic collision late Friday evening in Long Beach.
 
The collision happened around 11:54 p.m. at the intersection of northbound 405 Freeway and northbound 605 Freeway.
 
CHP officials responded to the scene and located a white sedan and a big rig on the right shoulder. A coroner also arrived and confirmed at least one fatality as a result of the crash.
 
A SigAlert was issued in the area, blocking all freeway lanes while crews worked on the scene.
 
Further details, including the identity of the victim, were not immediately available. The crash remains under investigation.
