Driver Dies after Cement Truck Crashes into Tree and Overturns on Creekside Lane
PLACER COUNTY, CA (January 18, 2020) – One person was killed after a cement truck crashed Saturday afternoon in unincorporated Placer County.
The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of Creekside Lane.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the cement truck went off the roadway and hit a tree. The truck then flipped onto its side.
As a result, the 47-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said. Information on the driver’s identity was not immediately available.
Officers said speed was a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
