Car Crashes into Tree on 505 Freeway in Winters Killing One
WINTERS, CA (October 8, 2019) – One person was killed following a car accident Tuesday morning on 505 Freeway in Solano County, CHP officials said.
The crash happened around 6:55 a.m. along the northbound lanes of the freeway, just north or Wolfskill Road near the border with Yolo County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota Corolla was heading southbound when it crossed the center median and northbound lanes. It then went off the roadway and into a vineyard where it struck a tree.
Paramedics arrived and confirmed one fatality as a result of the crash. The identity of the victim has not yet been released pending family notification.
Due to several factors remained unclear, investigation is ongoing.
