Big Rig Hits SUV on Road 28 1/2 in Madera, Fatality Reported
MADERA, CA (July 30, 2019) – At least one person was killed Tuesday morning following a 2-vehicle crash at Road 28 1/2 and Oregon Avenue.
The crash happened around 11:45 a.m., at the intersection of Road 28 1/2 and Oregon Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, a big rig, possibly a water truck, hit the passenger side of an SUV.
Fire officials along with paramedics responded to the scene and confirmed at least one fatality as a result of the accident. The identity of the victim was not immediately available pending next of kin notification.
No information was provided if the semi truck driver remained or fled after the crash. It is also unknown whether any charges were filed and liability has not yet been determined.
