One Killed in Car Crash at Grand Avenue and Kathryn Way [LAKE ELSINORE, CA]

SUV and Taxi Involved in Fatal Crash in Lake Elsinore

 
LAKE ELSINORE, CA (August 11, 2019) – One person died in a two-car crash early Sunday morning at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Kathryn Way.
 
The crash took place at 2:31 a.m. near Vail Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
 
CHP officials said a silver SUV and a white taxi collided, causing major front-end damage on at least one of the cars.
 
Arriving units arrived soon after and found crash debris scattered in lanes. An unknown fluid was also leaking from one of the vehicles. One occupant reportedly responded. As a result, paramedics preformed life-saving aid immediately on the patient.
 
Sadly, that patient did not survive and declared dead by a coroner’s personnel. Information on the victim’s identity has not yet been released.
 
The precise circumstances that led to the fatal accident is still under investigation.
