Solo Vehicle Involved in Fatal Collision near Lemon Avenue
DIAMOND BAR, CA (January 13, 2020) – A 21-year-old driver died in a solo car crash on Highway 60 eastbound on Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near Lemon Avenue at approximately 5:30 PM.
Reports showed that the victim’s 2015 Hyundai Sonata went off the roadway and collided with a large metal overhead freeway sign pole. The vehicle ended up on a guardrail, according to witnesses.
The Phillips Ranch resident died at the scene. The victim’s name was withheld pending notification of his family.
Alcohol or drugs are not believed to be factors in the crash. No further information was provided. However, an investigation into the accident is ongoing.
